My Experiences

I have found the use of Urtica Urens very promising in treatment of Urticaria. It can be used both internally as well as externally. Thyrodinum is given once in a month along with other remedies in other days. This disease requires complete cure. Therefore the remedies are continued even after the disappearance of symptoms. I have used Dulcamara successfully in many cases. Among Biochemic drugs Natrum Mur. is very promising. The patients are advised to take it up to long time. Locally this trouble is known as Chhapakki or Sheet-Pitti. The traditional healers of Chhattisgarh associate it with kidney and respiratory troubles. They believe that the wrong medication of this trouble may lead to new complications. In general I suggest the patients to use Haldi (Turmeric) in raw form with the routine treatment. Raw Haldi can be taken in any form. In marker many Haldi based traditional formulations are available for the treatment of Urticaria. Haridrakhand is one of these products. This product is having Haldi with Jaggery. In rural regions of Chhattisgarh the natives consume the curry prepared from medicinal herb Muscaini (Ipomoea reniformis). The traditional healers consider it very useful in treatment of Urticaria. They claim that it acts as promising preventive. I have experiences its miraculous effects many times. For its use as medicine the spices must be added in minimal amount. I have found the internal use of Ajwain (Carum copticum) very useful in case of Urticaria. During the attack the application of thick paste of Chironji (Buchanania lanzan) is very useful. The Chironji seeds are soaked in cow milk overnight to prepare thick paste. The patients are suggested to avoid the use of spicy foods. It seems that another Homooepthic drug prepared from obnoxious weed Parthenium hysterophorus can be beneficial for the patients but more confirmation is required before its use.
