Aroma: Penetrating, camphoraceous-medicinal odor. When compared to eucalyptus oil, it has a slightly milder fruity body note.

Traditional Use: It is known in the West for producing a sensation of warmth and quickening the pulse. It is used in chronic laryngitis and bronchitis, cystitis, and rheumatism.
Properties: Anthelminthic, antimicrobial, antineuralgic, antiseptic (pulmonary, urinary, intestinal), antispasmodic, carminative, diaphoretic, expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide, mildly analgesic, sudorific, and tonic.
