Balsam Peru Essential Oil Botanical Name: Myroxylon balsamum Common Method Of Extraction: Steam distilation Parts Used: Bark Note Classification: Base Aroma: Balsamic, vanilla-like, sweet, warm, & smoky Largest Producing Countries: San Salvador, El Salvador, and Central America Traditional Use: Employed for rheumatic pain and skin problems including scabies, nappy rash, bedsores, prurigo, eczema, sore nipples and wounds. Properties: Antibacterial, anticatarrh, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, balsamic, cicatrix, expectorant, parasiticide, and stimulant. Benefits: Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, colds, coughs, croup, eczema, laryngitis, low blood pressure, pruritis, rashes, relieves itch of scabies sores and ringworm, rheumatism, sores, and wounds.
